Waitangi, Russell, Cape Reinga and your choice of cruise
Day One
Drive north over Auckland’s Harbour Bridge and enjoy the fully commentated, scenic drive, before arriving in the idyllic Bay of Islands. Take a guided tour of the historic Waitangi Treaty House and view the magnificent Maori meeting house and large war canoe. Catch the ferry over to Russell and join in a fascinating tour of this early whaling town. The evening is at your leisure and the Russell waterfront is a great place to watch the sun set.
Day Two
Join a full day tour to Cape Reinga via 90 Mile Beach to visit the very top of the North Island. Travel in comfort aboard Dune Rider’s purpose built
off-road vehicle. Lunch included.
This full day trip takes you to one of New Zealand’s most northern points stopping at highlights along the way.
Visit Cape Reinga Lighthouse and see the meeting of the Pacific Ocean and Tasman Sea. Drive along 90 Mile Beach – dig for Tuatuas (shellfish) when in season. Explore Gumdiggers Park. Visit and boogie board down huge sand dunes. Visit the Ancient Kauri Kingdom. Enjoy the ‘world famous’ Mangonui Fish Shop (own expense).
Day Three
You choose:
Dolphin Discoveries ‘Hole in the Rock’ cruise
Visit Cape Brett and cruise through the iconic ‘Hole in the Rock’ (conditions permitting). Learn about the rich history and culture in the Bay. View wildlife such as dolphins, whales and a variety of birdlife.
or Dolphin Discoveries ‘Swim with the Dolphins’ cruise
With the warmest water in New Zealand and the friendliest dolphin species (Bottlenose), the Bay of Islands is the best place to experience swimming with dolphins (conditions permitting).
or Sail NZ 'Lion New Zealand' day sail
Experience the ultimate day sail onboard Sir Peter Blake’s famous Round the World racing maxi.
Island stopover with activities such as snorkelling, swimming, nature walks, sunbathing and kayaking.
Includes lunch.
Please bring swimming gear and sunscreen.
Ocean Adventure 'Hole in the Rock'
A 2.5hr adventure out to the 'Hole in the Rock' speeding through the open waters and riding waves.
Those doing a Dolphin Discoveries cruise have the afternoon at their leisure.

Paihia at leisure
